Introduction to Professional Writing
Studied various forms of writing under the umbrella of “professional writing” such as writing instructional material, conducting primary research and using secondary research to create a comprehensive web page centered around visualizing data, and composing a white paper based on industry research.
Introduction to Creative Writing
Studied writing creatively by reading and writing poetry, short stories (fiction), and a creative non-fiction essay. I won a Best Writer’s Award from the English Department for my creative nonfiction essay which I wrote for this class. I was also published in AURA Literary Arts Magazine on campus for my fiction work from this class (page 45).

Notable projects included creating full-bleed advertisements for print using Adobe Illustrator, writing articles using interviews and secondary research, and creating a 24-page magazine for print using InDesign and other students’ articles and advertisements.
